About this Role
Join our Regional City Planning team as our Coordinator Urban Growth.

The role represents an opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of planning professionals to deliver real results for our community.

As Coordinator Urban Growth you will have a range of responsibilities including:

Delivery of Council's statutory planning responsibilities for major subdivisions, ensuring all regulatory and customer service objectives are met.
Facilitation of internal and external process improvements related to Council's Development Contributions Plans, subdivision, and capital works processes.
Development of policy and planning strategies that will unlock growth fronts and improve the future built environment.
Investigation and provision of advice on urban growth planning matters.
Implementation of planning permits for major subdivisions.

About You

For this position we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with the ability to proactively coordinate and manage our Urban Growth team in achieving the objectives of the Latrobe Planning Scheme.

You will have:

Experience with assessing and managing the implementation of large multilot subdivisions.
Communication and consultation skills to engage and influence a range of internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (agencies and developers).
Experience or familiarity with the preparation of strategic plans for residential development will be advantageous.
An appropriate tertiary qualification in planning or a related discipline
