About this Role
Join our Regional City Planning team as our Coordinator Urban Growth.

The role represents an opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of planning professionals to deliver real results for our community.

As Coordinator Urban Growth you will have a range of responsibilities including:

  • Delivery of Council's statutory planning responsibilities for major subdivisions, ensuring all regulatory and customer service objectives are met.
  • Facilitation of internal and external process improvements related to Council's Development Contributions Plans, subdivision, and capital works processes.
  • Development of policy and planning strategies that will unlock growth fronts and improve the future built environment.
  • Investigation and provision of advice on urban growth planning matters.
  • Implementation of planning permits for major subdivisions.

About You


For this position we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with the ability to proactively coordinate and manage our Urban Growth team in achieving the objectives of the Latrobe Planning Scheme.


You will have:

  • Experience with assessing and managing the implementation of large multilot subdivisions.
  • Communication and consultation skills to engage and influence a range of internal stakeholders and external stakeholders (agencies and developers).
  • Experience or familiarity with the preparation of strategic plans for residential development will be advantageous.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in planning or a related discipline
