About You
As an eMeds Application Specialist you will be required to:

  • Undertake activities directly related to the building and maintaining of the Medication Management components of the Electronic Medical Record (eMR).

South Western Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for 1 Permanent eMeds Application Specialists to complement and enhance the current ICT Clinical Systems Team.

Previous experience in Cerner eMR or similar programs will be advantageous.

What You'll be Doing


The eMeds Application Specialist will be required to have an understanding of multiple Cerner clinical modules as well as undertake implementation and maintenance of the eMeds Applications for various projects and business as usual work being undertaken in South Western Sydney Local Health District.


The position will be required to liaise with clinical and other relevant eMR staff within SWSLHD to ensure that mandatory reporting and clinical requirements are met.

This position will be based at ICT Services, Liverpool Hospital Eastern campus.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Pharmacy and/or relevant clinical work experience in supporting ICT services in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with medication management processes and work practices within a large health care organisation
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of complex computerised clinical information systems such as electronic medical records and/or Pharmacy Dispensing systems and the ability to assist in translating business requirements to ICT solutions within a large and complex environment
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new service initiatives including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and work within a complex service delivery unit
  • Demonstrated highly developed analytical and problem solving skills within a multiuser clinical information system, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in documenting solution, technical and user requirements, using Microsoft office tools and clinical vendor templates
