Our client is a privately owned Australian company with significant experience in providing multiple service lines and support to the contracting, mining and resource industries.
The Role:
The Human Resources Manager will work with the executive and operational leadership teams, positioning the organisation to operate efficiently and effectively now and into the future, providing leadership across human resources, industrial relations, remuneration, policy, recruitment, mobilisation and compliance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drive the performance of the department, interfacing with operational service lines and key management personnel to deliver outcomes that support operations.
- Lead a team that provides aligned, efficient, responsive, and bestpractice HR services to internal and external stakeholders that support delivery and enable growth.
- Provide relevant HR, IR and recruitment management strategies, taking an active approach towards ensuring best practice frameworks and systems are implemented to provide a platform for effective and successful outcomes.
- Analyse workforce and organisational structures to provide strategic advice to the operational entities on resource allocation.
- Provide periodic reporting and analytics to identify trends and direct and guide future improvement and planning.
- Manage and oversee up to high level or complex employee relations matters, issues, concerns and conflicts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations etc.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Minimum three years experience in a management level role
- Demonstrated experience in a mining, contracting, engineering and/ or construction environment
- High level team building and people management skills
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Indepth knowledge of IR legislation and HR best practices
- Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
- Proven organisational skills and ability to multitask and prioritise
- Demonstrated initiative and creative problemsolving skills
- A proactive approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
