Position:


As a
Merchandiser, you are accountable to lead the development and implementation of merchandising strategies around your Product categories, which correspond to the evolving needs of the business and its clientele.

You are also responsible to drive the merchandising activities and ensure the store teams are well equipped with the product support they need to achieve sales targets and KPI's.

This is a fixed term contract position for 24 months.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Develop coherent and effective merchandising strategies to to achieve sales, sellthrough and growth KPI's
  • Promote excitement and energy with the sales teams around product through regular store visits, touch bases, coaching, and training
  • Collaborate with the local and zone Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to ensure each store within Australia and New Zealand are well represented with regards to product assortment and availability
  • Actively monitor the changes/evolution in business (for each of the categories under responsibility) and liaise with the zone
  • Coordinate product feedback between stores, local merchandising, and zone merchandising, for integration into the buying strategy for Oceania
  • Assist the store teams to drive client engagement through product support
  • Collaborate with Field Coach Trainers to deliver training on collections to the sales team
  • Support the analytical requirements of the merchandising team and local management, including product and sales analysis, competitor intelligence, and trend analysis
  • Provide the store and office teams with relevant quantitative and qualitative updates on sales performance vs KPI targets and as needed by management team.

Profile:


  • Minimum University degree qualification
  • Proficient computer skills (including Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, RMS, Nemo, Opera etc)
  • Experience with Merchandising and/or Marketing
  • Experience with buying is highly regarded
  • Strong client focus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the competition and fashion trends
  • Attention to detail
  • A good communicator and negotiator
  • Well organised, efficient, and knows how to prioritise effectively
  • Highly autonomous
