About the Role

Pattern is currently hiring for a part-time Social Media Assistant position based in Melbourne, Australia.


The Social Media Assistant will work across a range of paid and organic clients, with a focus on paid social execution.

They will be chartered with supporting the Account Managers across the execution, retention, and growth of multiple client retainers. They will excel at time management and juggling communication with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced agency environment.


The social media assistant will also be tasked in ensuring that execution of retained tasks are kept to the highest standard.

They are a proactive self-starter who gets the job done with exceptional attention to detail, planning, and efficiency.


Responsibilities:


  • 80% of your role will focus on the execution of paid social media

This includes:

  • The setup and optimisation of social media campaigns across key channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest with accuracy.
  • Supporting the account manager in managing client communications and requests regarding campaign setups, changes and ad hoc requests.
  • Keeping track of ad performance, KPIs, budgets and raising concerns with the account manager proactively.
  • Managing weekly and monthly reporting for key clients, and supporting the account manager on wider strategic projects and reports.
  • 20% of your role will focus on the execution of organic social media

This includes:

  • Support with the scheduling of organic social content for key clients across multiple platforms with accuracy.
  • Commit to manually posting content outside of working hours (weekends and ad hoc requests) where required.
  • Keeping track of organic social performance and raising performance concerns with the account manager
  • Develop your social media skills by supporting account managers on key research, social media strategies and audits.
  • Actively stay up to date with new social media content trends and platform updates, and communicate these findings with the wider social department.
  • Collaborate and delegate workload to social department team members where relevant, ensuring deadlines and task delivery is met with exceptional standards.
  • Proactively manage tasks and deadlines in an organised manner with provided project management tools, ensuring concerns are raised and communication lines are kept open.
Skills and qualifications

  • Marketing, Communications and/or Social Media university student or graduate
  • Advanced knowledge of key social media platforms: Facebook & Instagram
  • Experience with paid social advertising
  • Strong copywriting, reporting and creative thinking skills
  • Experience with MS Office suite & Google Analytics
