About the role

You will work closely with GrainCorp Port, Road and Rail Network, Construction sites, Regional storage sites, Feeds and Auscol sites across Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW).

This role will see you assisting in sustainability initiatives and the development and implementation of improved environmental systems and procedures.

Day to day responsibilities of the role are;

Identifying any statutory obligations including licences and approvals, or other consents required by the business
Assisting in the acquisition of licences, permits, approvals and assist in the implementation of conditions
Development of environmental documents to build improved management systems
Identification of environmental risk areas for operating assets dependent on preventing harm or ensuring compliance requirements

About your experience

Experience in undertaking the required environmental operational activities
Understanding of QLD and NSW legislation
Undertaking environmental risk assessments and inspections
Undertaking environmental audits
Use of monitoring equipment and sampling / testing in accordance with the applicable Australian Standard
Proficient in MS Office suite of products
