Description
The Service Manager (Clinical Services) headspace Primary Care is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, and leading their team to deliver an efficient, effective, and best practice service to consumers.
The Service Manager will contribute to the development of the strategy of the Directorate, in addition to the planning, budgeting and reporting of activities, coordinating key processes, and preparing regular management reports.

As the Service Manager of headspace Primary Care clinical services your role will:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service, informed by the strategic and business objectives and values of the headspace Primary Care program and Uniting.
- Lead the ongoing development and implementation of the model of care specific for their team to ensure timely, high quality, and accessible services are provided.
- Ensure the continuing improvement of the clinical services delivered, and provide clinical leadership, consultation, and expertise to the team in the delivery of specialist mental health care to young people, consumers, and their families.
headspace Penrith and Mount Druitt, run by Uniting, aims to reduce the burden of disease in young people aged 12-25 years caused by mental health and related substance use disorders through early identification and effective, evidence-based intervention.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Psychology, Social Work Registered Nursing or Occupational Therapy) and AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
- Five (5) or more years' experience, including three (3) or more years' clinical leadership experience
- Substantial experienced and demonstrated skill in the coordination of individual and group based interventions to meet the needs of the client and their significant others, presenting with a variety of mental health concerns, based on a case formulation approach.
- Proven experience leading and managing a clinical team, and to provide appropriate feedback, performance management, and staff recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to allocate resources, set priorities and ensure budgets are met within the services to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including GPs, schools, LHD, community groups, consumers, families and carers.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
