About Us:
We're a Web 3.0 tech firm based in Sydney, and we're gearing up for an exciting virtual conference and hackathon this September.
The event spans 3 days of conference sessions and a 3-week hackathon, all focused on diving deep into open infrastructure and open data discussions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Events Planner to play a vital role in the planning and execution of our upcoming virtual conference and hackathon.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative tech event that explores the forefront of open infrastructure and open data.
As a Junior Events Planner, you will focus on pre-event logistics and coordination, including the following responsibilities:Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the virtual conference and hackathon, with a focus on preevent preparations.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the seamless flow of event logistics.
- Support the development of event content and agendas.
- Help manage event registration, participant communications, and technical support.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Event Platform Management: Handle selection, setup, and troubleshooting of the virtual event platform.
- Speaker Management: Onboard and manage over 50 speakers, including facilitating rehearsals and handling schedules.
- Hackathon Management: Coordinate with technical teams for design, registration, and execution of the hackathon.
- Entertainment Segment Coordination: Contract and manage entertainers for various segments.
- Networking & Engagement: Create virtual spaces for engagement and implement tools like polls and Q&A sessions.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate for event promotions and content creation.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for technology and an eagerness to learn about Web 3.0 concepts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fastpaced, collaborative environment.
- Tech event planning or coordination experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using virtual event platforms and collaboration tools is preferred.

Openmesh is organizing a groundbreaking virtual tech event called OPEN D/I.It is an initiative and a large virtual tech event that brings together brilliant minds in the tech industry to build open data and open infrastructures that will be pivotal in shaping the next 10-20 years.
Envisioned as a fusion of a tech festival, 3-virtual conference, 4 weeks hackathon, workshop, job fair, product demos, and launch event.

Salary:
$7,000.00 per month
