The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Fitter to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Carry out work requests for corrective and preventative maintenance as per work instructions
  • Liaise with customers to understand corrective and preventative maintenance repair requirements
  • Participate in the process of providing quotations for work as required
  • Provide quality technical skills and knowledge to ensure all work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner
About you


To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A recognised Australian Trade Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Driver licence
  • Ability to participate in an oncall roster as deemed necessary and may be required to work outside of approved working hours
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 1
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $ $81 086 per annum
About Us
Maintenance Services is responsible for statutory, preventative and reactive maintenance across the Coast Hospital and Health Service.

Maintenance Services comprises of a maintenance manager, maintenance coordinators, administrative staff, trade coordinators and approximately twenty trade staff including apprentices.

Included in the trades are electricians, plumbers, fitters, painters, carpenters, refrigeration technicians and gardeners. Based in Robina.
