Patient Care Assistants to join our team on a Permanent and Casual basis commencing 2023.

DOSA/DSU

As a
Patient Care Assistant you will be a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team and, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and are involved with patient transport, food distribution, ward cleaning and ensuring that all services are provided at a high standard.

If you enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment as part of an enthusiastic, dedicated team then this is the job for you

A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care,
Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Client/Patient Services) or similar; or currently studying in a health related field at a tertiary level.
Demonstrate welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with mínimal supervision and ability to identify work priorities and plan to meet them.
Demonstrate effectiveness in working in a team environment.
Knowledge of principles of manual handling.
Knowledge of basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.
An understanding of and commitment to Quality Improvement.
Awareness of current Occupational Safety & Health and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation.
