A fantastic opportunity for a PMO Manager with experience working in complex transformation programs to take on their next project.

Reporting into the Chief Portfolio Officer (CPO) the role of the Manager, Portfolio Governance is to track, analyse, coordinate, and advise on the VBA Portfolio of Work.

This leadership role is a key connection between the governance functions and the delivery functions and will perform the secretariat role for the Portfolio Governance Committee (PGC).

The Manager, Portfolio Governance has line management responsibility for a portfolio resource and scheduler, portfolio co-ordinators, and has overall responsibility for a portfolio schedule, resource analysis, portfolio co-ordination activities, and other PMO leadership activities.

The Manager, Portfolio Governance is a member of the Building System Technology (BST) division and will work closely with PMO and BST leaders in a deadline driven environment.


What we are looking for:


  • Proven experience as a PMO Manager covering portfolio, leadership and support functions, including internal project audits, quality assurance checks (health checks) and managing a multidisciplinary portfolio of work using a gated methodology.
  • Proven experience in improving portfolio management processes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with a range of complex internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to influence, negotiate with tact and diplomacy, and influence strategic outcomes.
  • Proven ability to establish systems and procedures, proactively identify opportunities for generating workplace innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and taking responsibility for initiating outcomes
  • Knowledge and/or experience in waterfall, hybrid, and agile project methodologies.
