  • Ward 7A specialises in endocrinology, gastroenterology, renal medicine, rheumatology and stroke

The role:


In accordance with Agency policy, legal requirements and the attached Assistant in Nursing/Assistant in Midwifery - Workplace Guidelines, the Assistant in Nursing/Midwifery (AIN/AIM) provides nursing care as delegated by the Registered Nurse (RN), and within the direction and supervision of the RN or Enrolled Nurse (EN), in accordance with the nursing care plan.

This role may vary slightly depending on the area in which the AIN/AIM works.


The area:


  • Ward 7A specialises in endocrinology, gastroenterology, renal medicine, rheumatology and stroke
.

  • Ward 7A is part of Medical and Cancer services.
  • The ward has twenty beds which are made up of single and twin shared rooms, all with ensuites.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, shift-worker position, working 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

- _Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies._


Salary:

$57,485 to $63,109 pro rata per annum + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging


You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
  • Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award 2019

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance HLT32507 (Acute Care); or
  • Certificate III Individual Support CHC33015 (Ageing Specialisation); or
  • Is currently an undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing student who has completed their first year clinical practice placement; or
  • A current Diploma of Nursing student who has completed their first clinical practice placement
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Current First Aid Certificate
