Job Description:


The Business Manager will work with the entire management team and have exposure to how the team thinks and makes decisions.

From this vantage point the Business Manager will support with the development and improvement of people and culture, business processes and policies, planning and business communications.


Tasks and Responsibilities include:


  • Work with the management team on the strategic plan including supporting the development of policies and processes to improve the overall business and people.
  • Lead people and culture initiatives to improve wellbeing and staff retention.
  • Work in partnership with other management team members to ascertain and carry out needs of technical nature and precedence of the business.
  • Provide documentation support, procedure, and financial initiatives for the business.
  • Responsible for the administration of the business unit.
  • Support the development of presentations for senior management, including staff updates and management presentations.
  • Support the budget, the auditing process, the training, and the coordination of projects.
  • Coordination of new joiner/ leaver process with relevant stakeholders.
  • Office management including coordination with IT, Security, Facilities and Accounts Payable.
  • Corresponding internal and external communications, such as speeches, newsletters, Segula Australia website and press releases.
  • Health and Safety representative for Segula Australia.
  • Responsible for the documentation and follow up of HRM and staff meetings.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Knowledge and experience with creating and maintaining business processes and procedures.
  • ISO9001 experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with HR business support.
  • Experience in a technological service business will be a plus.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Ability to lead complex assignments.
  • Analytical skills, ability to identify and remove roadblocks and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated capability to influence and play a lead role.
  • Interpersonal skills and people management.
  • High proficiency in the following software packages (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to coordinate business development research.
  • Ability to develop business promotional plans and pursue them to completion.
  • Effectiveness in time management and the organization of staff.
  • Knowledge of defence security requirements and eligibility for Australian government security clearances.
  • Ownership Mentality. You'll have to be able to operate independently without specific direction on tasks, while also being highly collaborative and constantly sourcing feedback on the processes you're implementing.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree in business, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 Years' experience.
