Team Leader, Civil Law Division Administration

The Role


The Team Leader, Civil Law Division Administration is responsible for supervising the Civil Law Division administrative support staff and coordinating the efficient operation of the support services for the section.

This will include providing a triage point for the various legal services provided by the Civil Law Division, distributing files to Legal Officers, managing workloads of administrative support staff, assisting with reporting requirements, rostering administrative support staff for maintaining all Tribunal / Court diaries and inboxes and providing secretarial support when required.


The Team Leader, Civil Law Division Administration is responsible for providing assistance to the Manager, Civil Law Division with the effective administration of the Civil Law Division and the first point of contact for the secretarial and administrative support staff.


Salary Range
$75,430 - $79,070 per annum (ASO4) plus superannuation


As a not-for-profit organisation, the Legal Services Commission is able to offer its employees attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year for general living expenses.

What You Need For Success

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, foster sound working relationships with a range of staff and prepare clear and succinct correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability in working effectively under limited direction, exercise initiative and judgement where procedures are not clearly defined, prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to recognise and deal discretely with confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated keyboard and computing proficiency including demonstrated ability to prepare timely and accurate documents using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in mentoring and providing guidance to staff and developing their skills, confidence and competence.
