Zendesk is seeking an experienced Director of Solutions Consulting with proven, at-scale experience.

Job Overview:

As a key member of the sales leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing all strategic pre-sales activities and outcomes that align with the Global Presales and Sales’ vision and strategic plans.

You will be responsible for leading a team of Solutions Consultants supporting one of our most critical customer segments. You will be experienced in leading and mentoring a team of ICs and managers. You will have built and scaled pre-sales organizations. You must have been successful selling to Enterprise accounts, with a history of working with C-level and director level executives.
You and your teams will work in conjunction with Sales Executives, Product Managers, Systems Integrators and Customer Success Executives to help win opportunities, increase revenue and increase client and net dollar retention.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide value driven technical and sales leadership
  • Participate in account planning and strategy development
  • Serve as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers
  • Assist in the development and execution of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Hire, develop and allocate resources, perform employee reviews and evaluations
  • As a hands-on leader, participate in strategic deals and backup team members as needed to grow regional business
  • Actively support the team’s career development and advancement
  • Communicate the voice of the customer to R&D leadership, driving product development prioritisation and roadmap
  • Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps, as well as represent the team’s needs to executive staff
  • Direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle
  • Essentials:

  • 10+ years management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of building and growing pre-sales teams
  • Relevant experience in CRM or Customer Experience Solutions (Sales, Pre-sales, Success, Professional Services, Systems Integrators.)
  • Deep Technical skills and Cloud Infrastructure experience
  • Experience leading digital transformation teams and projects
  • Experience in account management and Business (CX) consulting
  • Experience establishing a strong working relationship with cross functional stakeholders
  • Strong technical skills, sales acumen and customer service/CRM domain expertise
