About our Graduate Development ProgramThe Graduate Development Program GDP at the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources the department is a great way to start your career, not only in the Australian Public Service APS but in a department that values a strong culture of inclusion, diversity, respect and embraces the unique skills and qualities of our employees. Prior work experience including volunteering, internships or community engagement are all a bonus Generalist StreamThe department accepts all disciplines of study and are looking for graduates from a range of backgrounds including economics, arts, commerce, public policy and administration, law and international relations.Professional Services Stream While we have a Generalist Stream, in 2022 we will also offering a Professional Services Stream for graduates with qualifications in a corporate services stream. The department is looking for graduates with a specialty in either Finance Law Communications and marketing Graduates in these streams will undertake work placements in their area of expertise for the duration of their Graduate Development Program.If you are a graduate interested in applying for a Professional Services - Human Resource role, you are encouraged to apply for Australian Government Graduate Program Human Resources Stream as advertised by the Australian Tax Office. EligibilityTo be eligible for a graduate position you must Be an Australian Citizen, have completed a minimum of a three-year undergraduate degree within the last 5 years completed between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2021 , If you have an overseas qualification it must be recognised by National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition NOOSR If applying for a professional service stream, hold a formal qualification in the relevant area, Be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, and Be prepared to relocate to Canberra.
