An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker to join our Under 18 Triage service. The Under 18 Triage team is an integrated component of Austin Health's Mental Health Triage, Assessment and Planning Service TAPS . It provides highly skilled clinical assessments both by phone and face to face and formulation of treatment options, working closely with families, local service providers and other specialist mental health services. This is an interesting and varied position offering a unique opportunity to utilise your specialist assessment and brief crisis assessment and brief crisis intervention skills, provide specialist secondary consultations and clinical leadership, provide high level clinical support to other clinicians in the service, network with stakeholders and carers, and participate in quality improvement activities. The required skill set and qualifications includes at least 5 years' experience in mental health with essential experience in child and adolescent mental health. Particularly required are advanced skills in mental risk assessment and management, and well developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
