About the opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Early Childhood professional to join the leadership team at C&K Herston Road as an Assistant Director. As the Assistant Director, your role will be to perform your current duties and in the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director will manage the daily operations of the service to enable the delivery of a high-quality early childhood service and program in line with C&K's vision, values and priorities.
- Full-time - permanent - 40 hours per week
What we will require from you as an Assistant Director:
For this position, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, who has previous experience as a leader in early childhood. You must be an approachable leader amongst the community of families, children and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally.
You must continue to perform the duties of your current role at the service as a Group Leader. When required, step up to the Director position, sometimes at short notice. Assist the Director in leading the daily operations of the service. Assist the Director in ensuring the service meets compliance obligations. Model professional and ethical behaviour.
You must have the ability to:
Hold a Diploma in Early education and care (or an approved Diploma level qualification recognised by ACECQA) Have initiative and a strong sense of personal responsibility for continuous improvement, meeting objectives and managing health and safety risks. Knowledge of the C&K 'Listening and Learning Together' Curriculum Approach Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF") Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and supporting early childhood education and care services/programs to deliver high-quality outcomes, and in building a capable and engaged workforce. Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and a strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development; and display of courage in the provision of advice and decision making.
At C&K Herston Road Community Long Day Care, we are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Group Leader to join the Centre. Successful educator will pride themselves on their passion and dedication for early education within the learning environment. We are looking for someone with exceptional skills to build relationships with families and children who have a fun and enthusiastic approach to their new role with C&K. You will be an educator that is dedicated to furthering their own learning as an early childhood professional and ability to be flexible and work collaboratively within a team environment.
