Due to our continued growth, we are relocating to a new larger fulfilment centre (warehouse) in Victoria to support the distribution of our brands, creating an opportunity for a People (HR) Manager to join the team, providing a professional HR support service to our operations teams.

The People (HR) Manager will be responsible for supporting managers with policy drafting plus employee relations, employee engagement, data analysis and project work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and developing AU specific policy and procedure in line with our global standards
  • Support with management of our temporary labour suppliers
  • Co-ordinate the workplace health and safety requirements, First aiders, Mental Health FA, IOSH trained managers, FLT licenses
  • Support all good HR practices; RTW, Absence and performance management, Investigations, handling grievances and complaints, support disciplinary process.
  • Managing new starter and contractor onboarding
  • Drive the employee engagement agenda on site, encouraging feedback and communication locally.
  • Ensuring ER cases including; absence, flexible working requests, performance improvement plans, grievance and disciplinary processes are managed fairly and consistently.
  • Provide advice to employees and managers to ensure they understand and follow company processes and procedures
  • Coach managers and support the development of people management and leadership skills.
  • Management of Maternity/Paternity & Adoption on site.
  • Assisting with organising and facilitating employee well-being initiatives
  • Producing reports and working with the team to address issues such as absence management, retention and performance
  • Requirements

    To be considered for this role you should have the following Skills and Requirements

  • AHRI / other relevant HR Qualification
  • Experience advising managers and stakeholders on HR policies and procedures
  • Experience dealing with all levels of staff in a persuasive and credible manner
  • Experience working within warehousing or manufacturing (Desirable)
  • A good working knowledge of current employment legislation in Australia
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to analyse data and summarise key findings
  • Good communication and data presentation skills
  • Capable of working using your own initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable atttitude
