The Corps Receptionist is key in the smooth running of our centre, providing the first point of contact and initial support for our visitors.

The role brings a variety of reception activities such as welcoming clients and answering calls, as well as some administrative support to the team.

This role is ideal for someone who loves to make a great first impression for visitors and callers, but also loves creating order and refining processes.

Receptionists are highly valued team members as they are the face of our service.

Key responsibilities:
Bring your attention to detail, professionalism and integrity to ensure that confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and skills (desired/required):
Experience in a reception environment is highly regarded
Administration skills are essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Sharepoint
Confident with online systems and software, as well as using printers (specific on the job training will be provided)
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Development opportunities with this role:

This role will give volunteers an opportunity to continue to develop skills and build experience in reception - specifically dealing with vulnerable community members, as well as administration and the use of computer systems and software.

Additionally, there will be access to a range of training opportunities and insight to the work of a large not-for-profit religious organisation with expressions in many different areas of society.

The Salvation Army is a child safe organisation and is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. All child related roles will require the successful completion of a Working with Children Check. _Additionally, certain volunteer roles may require a National Police Check._
