Direct responsibility for the safe and efficient completion of all assigned production, service and other related tasks in accordance with relevant company procedures and instructions.

Key activities may include:

Comply with and support of HSE & Quality practices in accordance with company policy.
Conduct the overhaul, repair, modification and/or test of products in accordance with relevant work instructions, test specifications, drawings, bulletins, safety and quality requirements.
Ensure all relevant documentation specific to the tasks and production processes are completed accurately and in full per requirements.
Conduct and/or participate in the troubleshooting of faults, investigations and inspections relevant to production related safety, quality, process and technical matters.
Escalate to the Production Supervisor any safety, quality, process or technical issues that arise.
Make recommendations to the Production Supervisor any safety, quality, process or technical improvement ideas.
Support other Production team members with any relevant production process, procedures, and technical knowledge to support the achievement of production team goals.
Actively participate in team meetings and training.
Ensure the working environment is always maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Clean, store & maintain tooling, plant & equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning.
Comply with and support of continuous improvement, lean and 5S initiatives.
Take ownership of responsibilities and actively contribute towards the achievement of production performance goals, delivery timeframes and customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Willing to work outside or beyond normal hours to support production requirements.
Domestic or International travel may be required.
Perform other related duties as required to support production requirements.

Essential Experience

Certificate 3 in Engineering
Mechanical/Electrical Trade and/or higher.
Two years or more related trade experience in a manufacturing or services environment.
Current Driver's license.

Desirable Experience

An understanding of the rail industry framework & related technical issues that arise.
Previous experience completing overhaul, repairs and testing to air brake equipment installed on Passenger, Locomotive and Freight rollingstock.
Currently Hold or willing to obtain qualifications for
Forklift, Overhead Gantry Crane, First Aid, Fire Warden, Rail Industry Worker.
