The Role

Air Defence Systems (ADS) Branch within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, task focused individual who can communicate clearly and with confidence to people of all levels of the Branch, as a Support Officer for projects.

This role will interact and engage professionally with many diverse stakeholders, a high level of customer focus and communication skills are required.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Proactively coordinate and manage ADS branch responses to corporate and divisional requests in a timely manner,
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to assist in the accurate completion of branch responses to meet directed timelines,
  • Possess strong administration skills, the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and be able to coordinate and review all Branch/project level correspondence including industry talking points and briefs, domestic & overseas travel, ensuring timely handling of requests for data and information to meet deadlines,
  • Support a broad range of branch/project activities including financial reporting, branch/project business planning and information management,
  • Interpret, clarify and provide advice on compliance with corporate policies and procedures,
  • Work collaboratively in a teambased environment, build and sustain relationships with team members and stakeholders.


We will be creating a Merit List, due to fill other vacancies within the Branch, which will occur in the next 3-4 weeks.

The recently announced 2023 Defence Strategic Review stated that Defence must deliver a layered Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) operational capability urgently which means there are exciting opportunities to work on this critically important defence capability.
