Mechanical Fitter Position
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

As the Contract Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the assembly and maintenance of mechanical components and systems in our facility.

This position requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work alone or in a team.


Responsibilities:


  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents in order to assemble mechanical components and systems.
  • Assemble, install, and maintain a wide variety of mechanical components and systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities on mechanical components and systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical components and systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with other mechanical fitters, engineers, and technicians to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Report any safety concerns or issues that may arise during the course of the project.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:


  • Trade certificate
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of physical fitness.
  • Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Working Conditions:


  • Fulltime, permanent role (3 month probation period).
  • Overtime may be required on occasion depending on workload.
  • Opportunity for long term work.
  • Progression.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$ $65.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Experience:


  • Fitter: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • White Card (required)

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (required)
