Your new role:

As a Hot Works Trade Manager at BAE Systems, your duties will be;

  • Manage the allocation of complete hot work trade teams (fabrication, welding and sheet metal) to specific ships as requested by the ship delivery management team. This Includes Supervisors, Leading Hands, Trades and Trade supporting roles.
  • Responsible for yearly tool budget forecasts and facilitating actioning tooling requests from trade teams.
  • Provide team with guidance for the fabrication & installation of structural and sheet metal work scopes.
  • Use various IT programs for the day to day management of duties.
  • Conduct minuted team meetings when required.
  • Provide estimate reviews.
  • Other duties as required (your full duty statement will be provided before commencement)
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will need the following:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Boilermaker / Fabrication / Sheet Metal)
  • Previous Supervisor / Superintendent / Management experience
  • Marine experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously or part of a team
  • An excellent attitude towards safety
  • Ability to pass preemployment medical and drug/alcohol screen
