We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Applied Technology team, within our Operations Division on a full-time, permanent basis as a Coordinator - Instrumentation.


This role's primary responsibilities are to maintain, repair and certify NIR (Near Infra-red) instruments, top loading Balances and other associated sampling equipment installed primarily at CBH storage facilities.


Reporting to the Supervisor - Instrumentation and working closely with operational personnel in Forrestfield and regional areas, the key deliverables for the role are:

  • Maintain, repair, and certify NIR (Near-Infrared) instruments in accordance with NMI regulations and test procedures;
  • Service and repair trade approved weighing instruments (top loading Balances) in accordance with NMI regulations and test procedures;
  • Maintain, repair and install associated sampling equipment e.g. Aerovac, Agtators, Falling Numbers;
  • Liaise with suppliers to source parts and equipment to repair modules;
  • Support the Country Quality team with troubleshooting and fault-finding guidance;
  • Provide on-site breakdown support within regional WA during the harvest period;
  • Commission additions/modifications to hardware and software associated to sampling equipment;
  • Research and develop concepts to enhance the operation of sampling equipment; and
  • Provide support to external customers with instruments acquired from CBH Group.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience repairing electromechanical equipment to component level;
  • Relevant Electronic/Electrical qualification or diploma;
  • Demonstrate efficient problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; and
  • Driver's license 'C' class.
