Assistant Technical Quality Assurance Officer
NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join Learning Improvement's Educational Standards directorate team as an Assistant Technical Quality Officer


About the role


The Educational Standards directorate is looking for an Assistant Technical Quality Assurance Officer to develop, implement and manage technical quality assurance for a range of projects.

The successful applicant will be creating and managing testing procedures for a range of digital material and will communicate findings to ensure the team's content is compliant.


In this role you will be responsible for

  • Identifying and raising defects as per project team standards when conducting testing.
  • Building and sustaining effective working relationships with team members.
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders and understanding their expectations and concerns.

About you
We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of digital publishing compliance, such as accessibility and copyright.

We would love to hear from you if you also have:


  • Experience in usability, accessibility, browsercompatibility, performance and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and takes initiative.
  • Ability to do repetitive task with sustained attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) (for paid employment).
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
