Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a manufacturing team and all operations performed within your shift. You will need to ensure that all KPI's in regards to production volume and quality are achieved and that the plant is set up and ready for all other shifts without any compromise on safety
Skills and Experience required
Bachelor of Engineering (desirable, not essential).
Trade Certificate or Certificate IV or higher (desirable, not essential)
Have demonstrated experience in similar role and people managment.
Clear time management and organisational skills.
Strong people management skills with proven ability to handle performance management
Excellent attention to detail with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Ability to be able to prioritise multiple tasks ensuring team and manufacturing performance remains on target.
Ability to operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures
Perform problem solving and faultfinding tasks to identify and resolve machine issues/breakdowns

Role Requirements (but not limited to)

Manage a morning shift production team
Adhere to the production schedule to ensure the efficiency of the plant is upheld;
Lead safety, quality, cost, efficiency, delivery and customer requirements;
Communicate and maintain shift standards at all times;
Ensure sufficient staffing levels to achieve planned activities;
Cooperate with all other departments of the business to ensure optimum production performance is achieved;
Ensure team members comply with quality standards and specifications as set by the Technical Team;
Ensure all safety processes are followed by all shift staff;
Support Operational Excellence initiatives generated by the production team and provide assistance to the Operational Excellence Coordinator as requested; and
Investigate workplace injuries of team members and assist in return to work plans for employees.
