About the position


Based in our Sydney office and reporting to the Senior Manager, Scheduling and Customer Service, the Graduate Charterer and Scheduler will be responsible for all post fixture activities associated with support for the costal shipping operations.

Other responsibilities include;

  • Working with accounting to ensure the accuracy of voyage invoicing (demurrage, freight, etc.). Review voyage documentation (bills of lading, SOF, etc.);
  • Work with Chartering and Schedulers to ensure current vessel schedule is up to date and maintained in IMOS;
  • Voyage management system (IMOS) data input (contracts, laytime terms, etc.);
  • Prepare Laytime calculations for approval by vessel operators;
  • Analyse charter parties and voyage documents, clarify events with Agents, Masters, Operators and calculate demurrage;
  • Support bunker operations for costal fleet;


  • Government Regs (TL)

  • Undertake the day to day administration of operational, regulatory requirements (ie. The permit system) to ensure permits are reviewed and managed on a timely basis.

About you

  • Degree in Bachelor of Maritime Logistics or degree level education in business or commerce
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Eagerness to acquire new skills and adapt to different situations
  • Ability to partner and build strong relationships both externally and internally
  • Ability to collaborate and support your team members
  • Demonstrates strong time management skills
  • Demonstrates high accuracy in tasks
