The opportunity


Calwell Early Childhood Centre is dedicated to honoring the value of each individual and fostering reciprocal respect, with a focus on well-being through our Sanctuary approach.

Our programs cater to 67 children aged six weeks to school age. They run from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including school holidays. We close on public holidays and have a two-week shutdown over Christmas.


As an Assistant Educator, you will collaborate with the team leader, educational leader and your team to implement and evaluate high-quality, play-based educational programs for children from birth to five years old.

You will also work with the director to implement innovative practices that promote quality outcomes for children.

Your role will involve ensuring the safety and well-being of all enrolled children, work alongside the team leader to develop through the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and working in alignment with the Sanctuary Model Pillars, Anglicare's Values and Code of Conduct.


About you


We are looking for a dedicated Educator who currently holds or is working towards a Diploma qualification approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and would like to join our team at Calwell.


As an assistant educator, your role would be to support the room leader and broader team in developing through the principles, practices, and outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to provide them with the best possible start to life.
