PERTH OFFICE
South32's corporate office is based in the heart of Perth's CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The
Manager Workplace Relations—Contractor Management is responsible for supporting the management of employee lifecycle-related activities for South32's contractors globally.

Working within South32's Contractor Management System of Work, this position will establish and embed people-related performance requirements for contracting partners, specifically focusing on workplace relations.

Reporting to Group Manager Global Functions and HR Services, other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Establish and embed workplace relations expectations (including Inclusion and Diversity) through contractual obligations in conjunction with Supply/Contractor Management
  • Manage all the separation and integration activities for workplace relations.
  • Develop, deploy, and oversee the delivery of Workplace relationsrelated compliance/competency training across the contractor workforce.
  • Support business conduct case management involving contractors.
  • Implement improvement initiatives to mitigate workplace relations risk for South32 and contracting partners.
  • Assist in the delivery of workplace relations activities globally.

ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Highly developed understanding of workplace relations, legal and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working in a large, global multinational company with exposure to global contractor management.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex legal regulations, policies, or procedures to a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to quickly gain trust and to build lasting mutually beneficial relationships.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Tertiary qualified with an Australian Practicing Legal Certificate, extensive knowledge and understanding of ER and IR, and highlevel skills in interpreting and advising on complex workplace matters.
