Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital technology division is looking for Communications and Engagement manager to enhance and promote the Technology brand and drive engagement globally.

The Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital Technology team has a global footprint and approximately 1,500 employees.

The team is responsible for the technology that supports the front office trading environments and our investment bank, and is currently embarking on building the world's best front office trading and risk management platform.


This is a great opportunity for you to join our Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie Capital technology division as the Communications and Engagement Manager to enhance and promote our Technology brand and drive engagement globally.

You will report directly to the Communications and Engagement Lead.


About the role
With experience managing communications programs inside a matrix organisation, you have a flair for creative ideas and execution. You enjoy being hands-on delivering communication projects and engagement events.

You'll have skills in creating great visual experiences and in leveraging technology (including internal social platforms) to create fresh and innovative content for our people.

And, you'll have a talent and passion for words, an understanding of how to capture an audience, flexibility to adjust to changing fast-paced priorities and strong attention to detail.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • Developing content for internal communication including town halls, internal updates, scripts, presentations, videos and podcasts, corporate intranet, and other internal platforms including business reporting.
  • Working with leadership teams, business leaders and people managers on leadership communication and team engagement initiatives and events for awareness, inclusion and fun
  • Collaborating with our Communications colleagues across Macquarie to maximise all opportunities to tell our team story.

You will bring to the team:

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills for internal and digital channels.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, projects and events.
  • A drive to achieve real business outcomes with outstanding attention to detail, a Learning mindset, adaptability and selfmotivation.
  • 57 years' communication and engagement experience.
  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field and although your sector background could be varied, you will have some exposure to financial services or technology environments.
