Description

The ODPP was established by the Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1990 (the Act) as the independent prosecution authority of and for the Territory.

It comprises the Director of Public Prosecutions (the Director), an independent statutory officer appointed by the Executive under the
- _Act_, and staff employed under the
- _Public Sector Management Act 1994_, to assist the Director.

  • The successful applicants will be required to provide assistance, in the preparation of matters for prosecution in the Magistrates and Supreme Courts. Assist in and Undertaking research and analysis, and maybe required to attend Court.

Eligibility/other Requirements:


  • Minimum Mandatory qualification Certificate IV in Legal Services or enrolled in a Law Degree.
  • Willingness to participate in staff rotation.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
