Description

This role is based in the Adelaide Office with on road requirements and works predominantly in the Adelaide Central area, with some regional and interstate travel required.

Occasional international travel may be offered.


The key function of this role is to be in the field providing clients with both software and hardware support in the maintenance of their equipment.

Break-fix repairs and general service for SKIDATA equipment are expected. These sites vary but include Car and People access.


This role also provides the Project and Solutions team with assistance in projects and the deployment of National projects as required and seen fit by the manager in charge.


Key Responsibilities, Tasks, and Activities:


  • Ensure jobs are completed in Astea in a timely manner.
  • Complete installation and commission paperwork.
  • Completion of warranty and repair spare parts paperwork.
  • Submit purchase requests for local parts.
  • Take responsibility for accurate recordkeeping of parts in your possession.
  • Notify the manager of any key developments and potential faults.
  • Respond to manager requests in a timely manner.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with After Hours and Callouts procedures.
  • Install and fit equipment.
  • Take and maintain all appropriate gear to sites.
  • Commission equipment (software and hardware).
  • Observe, test, and monitor equipment functioning.

Skills & Knowledge:


  • High level of technical competence and interest in continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in operating systems (e.g. MS Windows server/client, Linux).
  • Experienced in computer networks (e.g. Ethernet, TCP/IP, firewalls).
  • Knowledge in virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare).
  • Basic understanding of databases (e.g. MS SQL).
  • Knowledge of SKIDATA equipment an advantage, or demonstrated ability to learn and become competent in highly technical products.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

  • Desire to continuously learn and refine skills and train colleagues.
  • Commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Well organized and the ability to prioritize.
  • Effective communication skills with all stakeholders.

Salary:
$60, $85,000.00 per year
