The Opportunity


We are seeking a Maintenance Operations Planning Analyst to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting Deeper Level Maintenance (DLM) Services on the P8-A Poseidon platform at Royal Australian Air Force Base Edinburgh.

The Boeing P8 is truly a multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft, excelling at anti-submarine warfare; anti-surface warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and search and rescue.

Your Responsibilities as Planner will include but are not limited to:
As this is a new project the initials duties will be to;

  • Determine and develop the P8-A DLM planning documentation based on the aircraft planned servicing schedule,
  • Develop and populate the ERP MRO (cMRO) software environment,
  • Plan the aircraft DLM maintenance schedule,
  • Develop the scheduling and maintenance progression tools (SWAMP),
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) for cMRO.
The ongoing duties will include;

  • Integrate and schedule aircraft modification and technical instructions into the DLM program,
  • Liaises with the customer for the induction and delivery of DLM aircraft,
  • Analyse aircraft maintenance forecast for inclusion in the DLM program,
  • Maintain the scheduling and maintenance progression tools (SWAMP),
  • Provide planning support to the Maintenance Operations Managers and Maintenance Coordinator,
  • CAMM2 Data management duties.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Maintenance Controller / Planner in an aircraft maintenance environment, or similar role,
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels,
  • Ability to work in a team environment and across multiple level,
  • The ability to evaluate technical source data and specifications,
  • Applicable aircraft trade qualification, or similar trade,
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high tempo operating environment, whilst maintain a focus on safety.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, and
  • CAMM2 Data Manager Qualification
  • Highly Desirable.
