Large Australian Global Asset / Fund Manager

Our client, a large top tier Australian Investment Manager, are looking for Fund Accounting Specialists to work in Sydney CBD headquarters in a rapidly growing review function.

These newly created, permanent roles, will have oversight of the external fund administrators who have responsibility for fund accounting duties for a large number of clients


Key responsibilities include:


  • Responsible for the Fund Accounting oversight external Fund administrators work.
  • Design and implementation of fund control framework
  • Execution of control checks
  • Reviewing accuracy of unit prices calculated by external administrator
  • Responding to internal and external fund accounting queries
  • Oversight, coordination and review of fund distributions
  • Oversight and management of thirdparty vendors (fund accountants, administrators, custodians) related to the Funds
  • Coordinate and communicate inquiries to appropriate internal departments
  • Develop reports for Funds Management, operation committee, Boards & Management
  • Support Account Management and business development activities. e.g. reports and advise
  • Support Fund Launches
  • Manage various projects related to process improvements, procedure and systems development

Experience/Knowledge:


  • 5 years of experience in a similar role with either a Fund Manager, Administrator or Custodian.
  • A firm understanding of fund accounting (including accounting systems), exposure to a broad range of fund structures is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the operational components of Net Asset Value calculation and various asset/security types.
  • Strong knowledge or Fund and Trust Distributions process.
  • Ability to develop robust control frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
