Senior EA position supporting general secretary / CEO:
$100,000- $105,000 + super + benefits + flexibility (WFH)
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing support and professional assistance to the General Secretary / Chief Executive Officer.
The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in assisting the General Secretary and an important element of the role is managing multiple stakeholders on behalf of the General Secretary and working collaboratively with the Executive Officer Boards and Committees to ensure key Committees are efficiently managed.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide administrative and executive support to the General Secretary
- Under the direction of the General Secretary, coordinate, projectmanage and/or support the strategies, goals and programs agreed by the Standing Committee
- Providing information pertinent to the Standing Committee and other committees and activities
- Work with the Executive Officer Boards and Committees to support coordination of papers for the d Board and their subcommittees
- Support the work of the Leadership Team providing information as required
- Manage the Executive Assistant to the General Secretary to ensure effective coordination of the General Secretary's diary and correspondence
- Support the General Secretary with effective governance and compliance to ensure continuous improvement
- Provide high level administrative and project support and coordination
- Serve as the primary point of initial contact on matters pertaining to the General Secretary, Standing Committee, leadership team and relevant sub committees
You will have:
- Extensive experience in providing administrative and general support to executive management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated problemsolving skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as within a close team environment
- A high level of maturity and ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information, displaying initiative and a proactive approach to managing workload
- Experience in preparation and finalisation of executive documentation including meeting minutes, boards reports and other reporting
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills and extensive experience and success in influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution and consultation at a senior level
- Superior analytical thinking, problem solving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to research, monitor and synthesise complex information, identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to produce results;
- Structured and methodical with a focus on timely and accurate reporting
- Skills and the capacity to achieve challenging outcomes, successfully managing competing priorities with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
