The Avenue Children's Centre and Kindergarten The Avenue Children's Centre and Kindergarten is a community-managed centre with a rich history of delivering high quality education and care to children and their families.

A friendly, 40 places long day child care centre is situated in Balaclava/St Kilda East, City of Port Phillip. Our Philosophy Our centre has a strong play based philosophy. Our focus is on creating close and trusting relationships with our families and community. We provide an open-ended play-based learning environment, focusing on children's individual interests, strengths and needs. We provide many opportunities for children to discover and explore through play in an unhurried and relaxed manner. Children are given a voice and the power to make decisions regarding their play and social interactions


Description

Role Overview

• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
• Contribute to the educational program under the direction of the Lead Educator to provide a highquality program for all children
• Assist with the smooth running of the room in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures under the direction of the Lead Educator.

About you

• We are seeking a passionate, an enthusiastic, nurturing, reliable and likeminded educator to join our team.
• The applicant must hold Cert III or Diploma Qualification, Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training.
• Newly graduated are welcome.
