Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a vital link between finance and business operations.
This role involves close collaboration with business operations.
It provides high-quality financial analysis and support to aid in managerial decision-making and focuses on enhancing value through effective business partnering.
The position ensures accurate financial information, budget oversight, and reporting, while contributing to business planning and supporting Business Units in optimal financial management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and coordinate activities of management accountants
- Provide support and development to staff in maximizing the use of financial systems
- Provide accurate budget, reports, analysis and advise to management and other stakeholders in accordance with legislation.
- Leading budget contestability processes, partnering with budget owners to develop robust business cases for branch business plan initiatives.
- Guiding managers in identifying process improvement opportunities and challenges, fostering a culture of innovation.

To succeed in this role, you will need
- Tertiary qualification in accounting commerce or related discipline with membership of CPA or CA or recognized professional accounting body or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in development, analysis, monitoring and reporting of financial budgets, and forecasts.
- Previous experience in Local Government/NFP/Education/Healthcare
