Manager - Health,Safety,Environment and Quality (HSEQ)

  • Located in the beautiful Maranoa based in Roma
  • Base salary $145$150k/ Salary sacrifice facilities
  • 3 year Contract
  • 5 weeks annual leave
  • Monthly Rostered Days Off (RDOs)

The Opportunity


As the Manager - Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) for Maranoa Regional Council, you will be a motivated leader who will foster and promote a culture of safety excellence while managing the assurance framework, legislation, compliance, plans and policies.

This role will partner the organisation ensuring full transparency, preparing reports, analysing statistics, identifying trends, addressing risks, and contributing to continual improvement.

Leading a small team, you will manage and coordinate their day-to-day schedules to meet requirements and provide adequate coverage.

You will manage the HSEQ systems and structure to support delivery of the council's HSEQ objectives including future sustainability targets.


About You
To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you meet the below mandatory requirements for the role:

  • Previous HSEQ Management experience working in a multisite organisation.
  • Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or similar discipline)
  • Indepth knowledge of WHS legal requirements and ISO standards
  • Certificate of training in advanced incident investigation (e.g., ICAM, Root Cause Analysis)***
