THE OPPORTUNITY

More than just a leadership role, you will help us identify our long term goals and will work with the team to lead our governance, operational and strategic efforts to ensure we are set up for success and can reach our long-term goals.

Play a pivotal role in driving the operational excellence of the GO Foundation by focusing on how we work, who we partner with and identifying what our strategic goals are.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Head of Corporate Services will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.

Operational Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership to the operational team, ensuring seamless execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and the Board to develop and implement organisational strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the development and delivery of strategic operational plans, as well as project management of systems development tasks, implementations and upgrades.
  • Develop and update policy frameworks, oversee insurance, risk and compliance processes
  • Manage contracts and legal agreements.
Financial Management

  • Work closely with the CEO and the PwC Finance Team to develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation and costsaving measures.
  • Provide a Secretariat role and support Finance with preparing reports and information as required for Board/Committee meetings.
Team Leadership

  • Lead, support and develop two direct reports across our parternships, fundraising and events team.
  • Work closely with the CEO and the Head of Sponsorships to continue building and fostering a workplace culture that is diverse, passionate, supportive, inspiring and authentic.
Compliance and Risk Management

  • Lead our governance and compliance efforts in partnership with the CEO.
  • Own all the compliance reporting responsibilities on behalf of the organisation and liaise with the CEO and Board on our legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and review our HR policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legal requirements.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure organisational stability.

Ideally, you will be/have:

  • Proven experience (Minimum of 7 years) in a senior leadership role / operational leadership experience within the nonprofit sector. This is just a guide, if this opportunity excites you, please apply.
  • Strong understanding of program management, budgeting, and financial oversight.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the nonprofit sector of Australia.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting and compliance would be preferrable but is not required.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
