The
Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of a building or facility. They will ensure that the facility is well-maintained, safe, and efficient, and that all equipment is functioning properly. They will also manage a team of technicians and service providers to carry out routine maintenance and repairs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure that the facility is wellmaintained and all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Manage a team of technicians and service providers to carry out routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and repairs, and ensure that all expenses are within budget.
  • Develop and implement safety and security programs to ensure that the facility is safe for occupants and visitors.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as operations and finance, to ensure that the facility is functioning efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement sustainability programs to reduce energy consumption and waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to building and facilities management.
  • Develop and implement disaster preparedness plans to ensure that the facility is prepared for emergencies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure that services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance metrics, such as energy consumption, maintenance costs, and occupancy rates, and make adjustments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a management position.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Knowledge of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
  • Knowledge of sustainability best practices and trends.

Physical Demands:
The Facilities Manager may be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. They may also be required to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
The Facilities Manager will work in an office environment, with occasional visits to the facility being managed.

They may be required to work long hours, especially during emergencies or when maintenance and repairs are being carried out.
