A great opportunity for an experienced WinForms (Desktop Software) Quality Assurance Software Tester to join our growing team in Miami, Gold Coast, Queensland.

Our company was started in 2005 in Queensland, Australia and is now part of a multinational legal software group. Our core product caters to a specialised area of the legal advice industry.

Our proprietary product is a highly specialised, market-leading legal practice management software serving a range of firms from sole practitioner through to global services firms.

Until now we have focused on the Australian market, but we are expanding into other markets including NZ, UK and Canada.

Our company is ISO27001-Certified which means we have implemented and operate an Information Security Management System as required under the International Organisation for Standardisation for which we are audited annually.

The Role


We are seeking a full-time WinForms (Desktop Software) Quality Assurance Software Tester to join our team in Miami, Gold Coast, Queensland.

This position requires that you frequently work from our Miami (QLD) office to collaborate in person with other members of the development team, undertake or provide training, and attend meetings.

As such it is a requirement that you live in the Gold Coast area.

As a QA Software Tester you will perform an important role in analysing software requirements and performing quality assurance tests on the work being produced by our multidisciplinary software development team on our existing and upcoming products


The role will involve:

  • Using our team's development assistant tools including Jira, Confluence and Zephyr Scale to develop and prepare test cases based on the identified requirements and specifications. This will include estimating the effort involved and working with the Development Team to prioritise tasks.
  • Preparing test execution and completion reports for the Product Manager.
  • Participating actively in technical discussions and providing feedback to the Development Team.
Key Skills and Requirements


You will be an experienced QA who is passionate, innovative and will enjoy taking ownership of the projects you work on.

You must be highly analytical with an eye for detail.

You will need to be well-organised and methodical in your approach, and able to prioritise your work to meet agreed deadlines.

Whilst you will be working within a friendly, highly committed development team environment, you will possess the motivation and professionalism to manage your own projects.


You must have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • A minimum of an ISTQB
  • Certified Tester Foundation Level certification
  • Solid technical knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and demonstrated experience using Zephyr Scale to create and perform test cases
  • Demonstrated experience using Jira and Confluence in a software development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • A demonstrated high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to be located (upon commencement) in the Gold Coast area of Queensland
Salary

Salary $65,000 to $75,000 plus Superannuation per year.
