- $475 per day


Bluefin Resources is assisting one of the local government councils in Sydney to source a Technical Systems Specialist to provide L3 support.

You provide a high level of technical systems administration and support to the Council and responsible for leading the design, testing, and implementation of ICT systems including cloud computing, systems software and automation software per industry standards, compatibility, security, and sustainability.

The contract is for an initial period of 6-months offering a maximum daily rate of $475 incl. superannuation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Systems Support:


  • Resolve Level 3 Incidents and Service Requests aligned with service expectations.
  • Ensure Council's EUC environment and management platforms meet performance, reliability, and security needs.
  • Assist in managing IT asset inventory and accurate Enterprise Architecture artifacts.
  • Develop and update technical documentation for accuracy.
  • Lead small projects for innovative business solutions.
  • Escalate and handle vendor issues as needed.
  • Provide Level 3 support for EUC equipment, OS, and Applications.
  • Prepare, review, and enforce IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and suppliers for system enhancement.
  • Support deployment of relevant corporate mobile IT systems.
  • Ensure continuous operations during IT staff leave.
  • Assist team members in escalated support inquiries.
  • Aid the Team Leader IT Operations in evaluating new systems.

Technical Systems Administration:


  • Administer and maintain Windows Servers.
  • Manage database/SQL Servers through maintenance.
  • Handle Active Directory & Group Policy administration.
  • Administer Microsoft Azure platform for performance.
  • Deploy and patch Operating Systems and Applications.
  • Manage SOE images for server and user equipment deployment.
  • Administer Serverside corporate printer systems and hardware.
  • Ensure legal and secure operation of servers and software.
  • Administer Server and Network monitoring with regular reporting.
  • Develop technical specifications for service procurement.
  • Improve branch functions through process enhancements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:


Essential:


  • Tertiary qualifications or industry experience in Information Systems.
  • Proficiency in administering Windows SOE, including Mobile Device Management.
  • Strong administration skills in Windows Server, SQL Server, Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint, and Office 36
  • Experience with public/private cloud workload administration.
  • Familiarity with foundational technologies like virtualization, cloud computing, security tools, and enduser mobility.
  • Ability to collaborate in a highperformance team for secure enterprise solutions.
  • Significant background in technical operations and service delivery using ITIL best practices.

Desirable:


  • Previous IT support and administration experience in local government.
  • Relevant industry certifications in Cyber Security, Microsoft Windows Server/Azure, etc.
  • Experience and certifications in Change and Project Management.
  • Background in Cloud Computing/Infrastructure as a Service environment.
