Our Contract Services department is recruiting for new members to join the team, supporting the wider Wagerup Refinery in supervising, and maintaining contracted services tasks.
As the Contractor Coordinator you will ensure alignment to EHS policies and procedures, focus on the job completion requirements to scope and current contract costing requirements.
Safety of our people is the primary responsibility.In doing so you will ensure equipment is ready for work, conducting in-field checks and discussions with the contract work groups carrying out the scope for the day, appropriate pre-planning of all assigned work and permit requirements, coordination of resources and communication of hazards, to minimise injury exposure to individuals.
Further accountability in this role is:
- Fulfilling the role of Alcoa Responsible Person for all Contracted services at Wagerup as mandated standard
- Coordination of and reporting on all aspects of assigned projects / services, including coordination between contractors and Operating Areas, ensuring progress in accordance with schedules and planned work completion targets.
- Completion of field verifications with contractors in accordance with permit to work standard and authority to proceed processes.
- Where required, organise and actively participate in toolbox meetings, area safety meetings, project safety meetings, workplace safety audits and daily planning meetings.
- Engaging in the process of implementing continuous improvement and safety projects, encouraging and supporting others to do the same.
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Minimum year 10 school completion, with Trade background desirable.
- Substantial field-based leadership experience, ideally in heavy industry or process plants.
- Background in Contractor and Project Management desirable.
- Interpersonal skills to liaise across levels in the organisation and diverse teams.
- Commitment to driving and upholding a solid safety culture, safety standards, verification and compliance across work groups.
- Dedication to achieve set targets and support others to meet objectives.
