The role
Opportunity for a Geospatial Surveyor to join the IntelliSpatial team, with roles available in both Melbourne and Perth.

This role is ideal for a new or experienced geospatial or survey specialist who is motivated by working in a supportive team and spending time both in the field and office.

No two jobs are the same.

You'll travel to some fantastic places, extend your technical and project management skill sets and learn something new on every project.


Your job
Your role will involve some or all of the following depending on where your interests and strengths lie:

  • Undertaking geospatial field surveys using traditional survey equipment, TLS, MLS, and/or UAV's
  • Processing and manipulation of point clouds, photo meshes and models
  • Feature extraction and 3Dmodelling
  • Working with clients to identify and deliver the best geospatial services and solutions to meet their needs
  • Working with your team and other business units across all aspects of project delivery
  • Contributing to industry publications, reports content and marketing material
  • Refining existing operational workflows to improve and expand our service
  • Keeping abreast of technology and equipment trends to stay ahead of the market

Your skills/qualifications
We're looking for a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a practical approach to problem solving


You'll also need:

  • Qualification in surveying, geospatial sciences (or other spatial field) or demonstrated experience in similar roles
  • The ability to manage large volumes of data, records and correspondence with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear summaries and reports
  • Experience with establishing survey control (desirable)
  • Experience with undertaking feature surveys (desirable)
  • Experience with terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) capture and data processing (desirable)
  • Experience with mobile laser scanning (MLS) capture and data processing (desirable)
  • Experience with point cloudbased feature extraction and 3D modelling (desirable)
