At Pearl Home Care, a local-based Home Care Provider on the Sunshine Coast, we are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our elders.

As a Community Support Worker at Pearl Home Care, your responsibilities will include:

  • Social support: Accompanying clients on outings to various locations such as shops, the bank, cafes, or for leisurely walks.
  • Transportation: Assisting clients with their appointments or providing respite care.
  • Food preparation.
  • Respite care: Assisting with exercises, dressing, toileting, and supervising the selfadministration of medication.
  • Personal care: Assisting with showering and other grooming activities.
  • Medication: Monitoring blood sugar levels, observing skin integrity, and supervising medication dosage and administration
To thrive in this role, we expect you to possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of a wellmaintained insured vehicle and a smartphone.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, including criminal history, demerit point/driving history, and reference checks.
  • First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Manual handling certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Physical fitness, excellent communication, technology skills and reliability.
  • Proof of Covid vaccination (desired but not mandatory).
  • Two business referees/references.
We offer flexible employment opportunities. Casual employment with the ability to become Part Time after probation. Our competitive salary ranges from $30.00 to $33.00 per hour, inclusive of superannuation. Furthermore, we provide travel compensation of $1.00 per kilometre.
