As an Outreach Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the outreach efforts run smoothly and effectively.

You will work under the direction of the Assistant Director and be responsible for making decisions, problem-solving, and navigating complex client issues while adhering to relevant legislation, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.

Your critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills will be paramount, and you will demonstrate high levels of integrity and emotional intelligence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Outreach Program Providers, facilitating communications and coordinating activities.
  • Provide training, onboarding, and offboarding support to Outreach Program Providers and serve as the primary point of contact for information, debriefing, and support.
  • Ensure Outreach Program Providers meet Key Performance Indicators in accordance with our Quality and Safety Framework to drive continuous improvement.
  • Offer support to Outreach Program Providers in meeting clinical liaison notification requirements and provide postvention support when necessary.
  • Review partnership referral requests and provide advice on suitability.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage a database of Outreach Program Providers, keeping Intake Allocators and administrative staff informed of availability.
  • Create and manage a program of treatment and psychoeducational groups and workshops to maximize client and stakeholder access.
  • Engage with complainants of Outreach Program Providers to identify concerns and develop resolution options.
  • Assess and analyze complaints related to the Outreach Provider Program and determine appropriate resolution actions.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for complex Outreach Provider Program issues raised by Intake Allocators and Clinical Governance Officers.
  • Schedule and attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, including clinical supervision, to maintain professional registration.
  • Uphold cooperative and safe working practices consistent with APS Values and the Department's mission, vision, approach, and values.
  • Maintain a small clinical workload of clients as negotiated with the Assistant Director.
  • Participate in community development and service promotion activities as required.
  • Contribute to the program evaluation and research activities, assisting in project management efforts to implement strategic directions and quality improvement recommendations.

Qualifications / Skills Required:


  • Qualifications as an AHPRA registered Psychologist or Psychologist with Provisional Registration / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration,
    OR
  • Qualifications as a Counsellor with a minimum Level 4 Australian Counselling Association registration.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
  • Problemsolving and critical thinking abilities
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy

Successul Applicant will be offered:


  • Competetive Hourly rate of $65 p/h + super
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Whilst initially employed as a contractor, opportunity to be directly employed with the client in the future is a strong possibility.
  • ASAP start until end of June 2024 +
