Our client is a large, well known business based in Sydney's CBD and they are on the look out for an AP & AR Manager to look after their AP/AR team of 5 across the various sectors within the company.


The key purpose of this role is to actively manage the small team to help meet KPI's and to suggest practical improvements to existing methodologies, to explore opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the transactional functions operate accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Ensuring all internal and external queries are handled in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage transactional team KPI's
  • Continually looking to identify ways to improve processes, procedures and the efficiency of the team
  • Month end and adhoc reporting as required
  • Providing training, guidance and support to the transactional teams

Skills & experience:


  • At least 2+ years' experience working within a large Australian business in a leadership position across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Staff management experience whereby you have directly overseen a team
  • Experience using a large ERP system as well as Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Previously demonstrated process improvement & change management experience
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment; an effective team collaborator who understands the need for building strong rapport with the wider business
