Reporting to the Senior Project Planner we are currently recruiting for a Document Controller. This role will be based in Melbourne on a Permanent, full time basis.


In this role you will:


  • Expedite the review and approval of documentation, including designs, procedures, instructions, product certification and records.
  • Record document flow to and from all parties, including clients, subcontractors and project team
  • Issue transmittal letters and receipts concerning the documents in circulation.
  • Remove obsolete documents from distribution and use.
  • Coordinate storage and archiving of project and organisational records.
  • Participate in the planning and providing reports of issued/ received transmittals of the projects.
  • Assist wider team members with system issues, document formation and other process requirements.
  • Ensuring controlled documents meet the quality standard defined by the client.
  • Ensure the documents are controlled, recorded, and disseminated accordingly.
  • Establish working relationship with stakeholders and ensure team adhere to the document control processes.
  • Participate in and support ALSTOM's ongoing business improvement process.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 3-5 years' experience in Document Control.
  • Experience in using document management systems such as Team Binder and Aconex.
  • Ability to use and maintain administrative systems.
  • Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to.
  • Undertake tasks in an autonomous manner.
  • Detail oriented and organised.
  • Any prior knowledge of SAPprocurement process is desirable but not necessary.
