About the role:


The Chair of the Higher Education Board of Studies (HEBoS), the Academic Board at Box Hill Institute, is an external 3 year appointment and ensures the Academic Board fulfils its responsibilities as outlined in the Terms of Reference to the highest standards and that the quarterly HEBoS meetings are conducted in a proper manner.


The role of HEBoS is to enable strategic and educative linkages, monitor compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework within HEBoS' remit and maintain oversight of the academic integrity and quality of higher education at BHI.


This position is responsible for chairing the academic board, oversight of academic quality assurance, achievement of course outcomes and nurturing a scholarly culture.


About you:


You are a passionate academic who holds a PHD and /or Professor Academic level, with disciplinary expertise that is relevant to Box Hill Institute's Broad Fields of Education.


You will also have experience of Academic Board at a higher education provider and detailed knowledge of Academic Governance processes.

You will hold knowledge and understanding of Academic Quality Assurance with regard to higher education course accreditation and curriculum, with quality assurance expertise and understanding of the Higher Education Standards Framework (2021)


You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check and a Working with Children Check and your entitlement to work in Australia.


All appointments to Box Hill Institute will be required to provide evidence of receipt of at least two COVID-19 vaccines prior to commencing employment.
